What do you get when you blend reggae, rock, dub, and a taste of electronica? The Roots Of Creation, of course, steadily climbing through the scene with their one-of-a-kind live sound. The band is poised for greatness, merging an infectious live sound with great songwriting to organically build an incredibly supportive and appreciative fanbase. With a brand new triple album due out this spring, it’s all good things for this band on the rise!

Getting To Know: Roots of Creation, Reggae-Jam Staples

After their rockin’ Webster Hall performance back in December, fans have been itching to hear more from that performance. Fortunately, thanks to Roots of Creation and Raised Fist Propaganda, we now have pro-shot footage of the band tearing into their instrumental, “Mammoth.” Check out the new video below, exclusively on L4LM:

Keyboardist Tal Pearson spoke to us about this particular performance. “I’m psyched for the video for the instrumental song “Mammoth” to come out because it shows a bit of our heavier side, which I think surprises people sometimes. We love reggae but we also like to rock! For that reason, this upcoming tour with The Expendables, Passafire, and Tunnel Vision is gonna be awesome. Not only are these great reggae bands, but there will be some serious “axe-shreddery” going on! NYC is of course the show on the tour I’m most looking forward to; it’s always an especially crazy place, but for me it’s sort of a hometown show. I’ve been living in the city for about seven years now, so the NYC shows are always the ones I harass all my friends to come to.”

The band is heading out on The Expendables‘ “Spring Blackout” tour with Passafire and Tunnel Vision kicks off on March 24th, but there’s still a handful of opportunities to see them throughout February. The group also has a new TRIPLE album, called Livin Free, due out on April 22nd. The album will be released via RoC’s independent label, Bombshelter Records, which just signed a distribution deal with ILS/Caroline/Universal Music Group last week. You can pre-order the album here!

Guitarist Brett Wilson spoke about the new video and album as well, saying “RoC is super stoked to go on the road with all these amazing acts and share all the new songs off our upcoming triple album, Livin Free with the fans. We poured our hearts and souls into each studio, dub, & acoustic version on the record. We are so blessed to have such passionate fans that made this album possible through supporting our crowd funding campaign. “Mammoth” is a thunderous song that we love to close our live shows with! Collaborating with Raised Fist Propaganda is always an adventure because Jeffro has big ideas and an unlimited amount of creative energy. Premiering this video with the L4LM family is a perfect way to build momentum for this tour and the upcoming release of our biggest project ever, Livin Free.”

Check out the tour dates below and don’t miss out on any of the RoC excitement! For details and more information, head to the band’s website.
