The Long Island natives will be releasing their first official live album, HEADROOM, through STS9’s 1320 Records label. Slated for a September 3rd release on 1320 and September 4th everywhere else, HEADROOM features 16 tracks culled from the band’s energetic performances in 2015. To get you in the mood for grooving, we’re delighted to share the first single from the album, “In The Basement Of The Alamo”. Dig it below:
Mixed by Grammy-award winning producer Robert Carranza (Jack Johnson, Mars Volta), the album brings tracks from hand-selected performances at venues like The NorVa (Norfolk, VA), The National (Richmond, VA), The Madison Theater (Covington, KY), The Ritz (Raleigh, NC), Iron Works (Buffalo, NY), The Southern (Charlottesville, VA), AURA Music Festival (Live Oak, FL), and Terminal West (Atlanta, GA). With 14 original tracks and two covers, HEADROOM adeptly captures the energy and talent of this extraordinary group.
Known for their instrumental precision, TAUK is a group that can hit you with funk, progressive rock, jazz, and psychedelic elements in the same song. Their two studio releases, Homonculus (2013) and Collisions (2014), are perfect examples of the band’s compositional prowess, but they shine even brighter in the live setting.
