In just two short days, Twiddle will perform their first-ever headlining set at the historic Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, NY. The storied venue has seen some true musical legends inside its walls, including countless Grateful Dead concerts throughout the early part of that band’s career. There’s a certain magic to the Cap; the room has its own charm, wrapped up in history, energy, and music.

With Twiddle’s debut set for May 7th, we spoke to the band about the upcoming performance. Guitarist Mihali Savoulidis couldn’t contain his excitement for the opportunity to perform at such a renowned location. “I can’t really pinpoint one single feeling. There are a lot. It’s a big show for us, for a lot of different reasons. I guess each of those things makes me feel something different,” he said. “It’s got history. The people who performed in that building compose a significant chunk of rock history.”

It’s true. Even the venue’s upcoming show calendar is packed with legendary names like Phil Lesh, Bela Fleck, Peter Frampton, Jeff Beck, Buddy Guy and more. For Twiddle, this opportunity didn’t come easy. The band has been hard at work for over 10 years, and continue to win over fans with their creative songwriting and innovative live performances. It’s no surprise that their fanbase seems to grow with each passing concert.

Drummer Brook Jordan said, “The Capitol Theatre show, for me, is about all of our fans. Watching them rally behind us to help sell it out is just amazing.” He continued, “We have so many friends and family here, it’s truly going to be a celebration.”

Jordan also took a moment to mention The White Light Foundation, the band’s non-profit organization that focuses on community and fundraising efforts for anyone in need. It’s the message of love and kindness that resonates through the band’s music and their fan community.

So what can fans expect from an evening of music with Twiddle and opening group TAUK?

Bassist Zdenek Gubb answered the question, but didn’t want to give too many secrets away. “TAUK is legit. Their music has a power to it, it’s the real thing. As far as us, we can’t let you in on anything in particular. We have been tossing around lots of cool and different ideas.” We sure can’t wait to hear what they have in store.

Tickets are moving fast for this show, but they’re still available here. If you can’t make the action, be sure to head to Nugs.TV for the official live stream. With Twiddle and TAUK rocking all night, this is one celebration you won’t want to miss.
