In light of the recent Colorado flood disaster, Boulder-based Big Gigantic has decided to dedicate their upcoming hometown shows to those affected by this tragedy. The two-night run, beginning at the Fillmore in Denver and ending at the second annual Rowdytown at Red Rocks, will aid in Conscious Alliance‘s efforts to provide basic necessities to community members affected by the flood.

The current numbers coming out of the Colorado situation are horrifying. As of now, 17,494 homes have been damaged, 1,502 homes have been destroyed, 11,700 people have been evacuated, 1,253 people are still unaccounted for, 8 people have lost their lives and 520 are in emergency shelters.

Big G will be stepping in to donate a portion of proceeds from tickets sold towards Conscious Alliance’s flood relief fund. Additionally, Conscious Alliance will be on-site at the shows collecting food, monetary donations, new or lightly used clothing, cleaning/household items, or whatever you can spare! Specifically, donations of pasta meals, canned meats, toiletries, paper towels, and toilet paper are encouraged.

Local artists and organizations will also be donating merchandise, tickets, art and more for a silent auction at the Fillmore, with proceeds directly benefitting Colorado flood victims.

Tickets to Rowdytown have sold out, but you can still get your Fillmore tickets here. Or, you can donate directly to Conscious Alliance here.

Help make a ‘Big Gigantic‘ difference!
