Mars Volta offshoot Antemasque are in some hot water, as member Cedric Bixler-Zavala has been accused of throwing a tea kettle full of boiling water onto some fans at a festival appearance in New Zealand.

The band was performing at Westfest, a heavy-metal-oriented festival in Auckland, NZ, when they started throwing things into the audience. One fan, named Hugh Smith, claims that the boiling-water-tea-kettle mainly splashed on him, and shared this photo of his burn with the New Zealand Herald.

Video has emerged of the incident, which can be viewed below:

The band was also seen throwing various musical equipment into the stands, and one fan commented that the lead singer seemed agitated throughout the set. It is worth mentioning that the band did not comment when asked, though they did request that the paper did not run the story.
