When Bob Weir cancelled his upcoming Ratdog tour, Lockn’ Festival announced that Bill Kreutzmann & The Locknstep Allstars would be subbing for the sidelined Grateful Dead guitarist. The announcement was vague, saying that they wanted to keep the set within the Dead family, yet did not want to reveal the members of the Locknstep Allstars.

Today, however, two announcements regarding the Locknstep Allstars were leaked. On Steve Kimock’s website, the following announcement was posted:

Kimock plays lead guitar for Bill Kreutzmann and the Locknstep Allstars. Also featuring Oteil Burbridge, Aron Mangor with special guests Taj Mahal, Keller Williams, Papa Mali and Tom Hamilton.

Furthermore, the website of the legendary Col. Bruce Hampton has the following announcement posted in the news section:

We are happy to announce that The Colonel will return to the amazing Lockn’ Festival for a special Friday set with Bill Kreutzmann!

All signs point to a massive Grateful Dead-themed musical collaboration, with extraordinarily talented musicians jamming out to some of our favorite Dead tunes.

UPDATE: Rolling Stone has confirmed this lineup!
