Just a few weeks ago, the Wanee Festival brought the jam family together for a weekend-long celebration at the Spirit of Suwannee Music Park in Live Oak, FL. Championed by Allman Brothers Band-family groups like Les Brers, Gov’t Mule, Widespread Panic (a la Jimmy Herring), and more, there was no shortage of great jams throughout the weekend.

One set that took fans down a Grateful road was Billy & The Kids, the side-project group for Grateful Dead drummer Bill Kreutzmann. With a lineup that includes Tom Hamilton on guitar, Reed Mathis on bass, and Aron Magner on the keys, the band always keeps things fresh for their Gratefully inspired performances. The group also had some extra help at Wanee, as Eric Krasno joined for the whole performance. Even Warren Haynes, the sit-in master, lent his hand to the classic Dead tune “Deal” to close out the set.

Now, thanks to Kreutzmann himself, the band is offering a free download from this glorious set. Relive all 90 minutes of this fantastic set, including 10+ minute renditions of “Shakedown Street,” “Playin’ In The Band,” and so many more. Just head to Live Downloads to claim your mp3s!
