Tomorrow night, April 9th, Grateful Dead drummer Bill Kreutzmann will bring his band back to the city where it all began, as Billy & The Kids hit The Warfield for what is sure to be a great performance. Not only will the band’s core members, Tom Hamilton, Aron Magner and Reed Mathis, be performing, but Lettuce/Soulive guitarist Eric Krasno will be joining for the show, and The Greyboy Allstars are opening as well.

With this many fantastic musicians under one roof, the potential for musical celebration is at an all-time high. Krasno has been performing with Phil Lesh in a number of Friends lineups at the Capitol Theatre of late, making him all but ready for the Grateful Dead throwdown. With Hamilton’s work with Joe Russo’s Almost Dead and his own band, American Babies, Magner’s role in the Disco Biscuits and Mathis’s basslines in Tea Leaf Green, this group is dynamic and ready to rock.

Not to mention the Greyboy Allstars, a supergroup led by Karl Denson and featuring Robert Walter, Chris Stillwell and more. These guys are a tight knit unit, having performed together for over twenty years. With Diesel in the building, you can only hope for some saxophone-enriched Billy & The Kids numbers.

The show all goes down this Saturday, April 9th, at The Warfield. Tickets are available now, and can be found here.
