Following the homicides and tragedies that have recently plagued Orlando, FL, Billboard has published an open letter to Congress that calls for changes to legislation. “The one thing that connects the recent tragedies in Orlando,” reads the letter, “is that it is far too easy for dangerous people to get their hands on guns.” The demands of the letter are simple and two-fold:

-Require a background check for every gun sale
-Block suspected terrorists from buying guns

Over 150 musicians signed the letter, including Bob Weir, Mickey Hart, Bill Kreutzmann and Jeff Chimenti of Dead & Company, Paul McCartney, Jim James, Questlove, Thom Yorke, Billy Joel, Eddie Vedder, Ringo Starr, Stevie Nicks, and countless others.
