There’s something about the music of Jerry Garcia that just wants to make you let loose and get your groove on. Fortunately, The Capitol Theatre has you covered.

The historic Port Chester, NY venue has announced a “Jerry Dance Party” to take place on December 26th, featuring some of the best music culled from Garcia’s prolific career. That includes tracks with the Grateful Dead, Jerry Garcia Band, and all of Garcia’s many side projects along the way. After successful events at Lockn’, Fare Thee Well and the Brooklyn Bowl, we’re excited for this new edition.

The dance party is presented by Brett Fairbrother, who manages the Garcia’s venue adjacent to The Cap. For many years, Fairbrother has been organizing these get-togethers as a way to honor Garcia’s legacy through the glorious music he created. The parties often run until the sunrise, so be ready to dance all night long!

Not only that, but renowned lighting designer Candance Bergman will be running the lights for this one-of-a-kind festivity. Bergman started at the Cap in the 60’s and joined the Dead on their famous Europe ’72 tour, and was in charge of lighting for the Fare Thee Well concerts this summer. With the music and the lights all together, there’s no telling how much fun this show will be!
