Following the death of the rock icon Chuck Berry earlier this year, Berry’s family has slowly been releasing new music from the upcoming CHUCK album – due out June 9, 2017. CHUCK includes recordings from 1991 through 2014 and will mark the first release of new material since Berry’s 1979 Rock It , making it the first solo album Berry had worked on in over 38 yearsBerry announced the new album on his 90th birthday on October 18th of last year. He dedicated it to his wife of 68 years who he called “Toddy.” In a statement, he said, “My darlin’ I’m growing old! I’ve worked on this record for a long time. Now I can hang up my shoes!”

Following the release of “Big Boys,” “Wonderful Woman,” and Berry’s first-ever music video, today brings another new track off Berry’s upcoming posthumous record. This latest single, “Lady B. Goode,” is a spiritual sequel to Berry’s most iconic song, “Johnny B. Goode.” The original tune was ranked #7 on Rolling Stone’s 500 Greatest Songs of All-Time and is the only rock and roll song included on 1977’s Voyager Golden Record, intended to represent life and culture on Earth to extraterrestrial beings. Today’s version, “Lady B. Goode,” notably features guitar work from three generations of the Berry family: Chuck, Charles Jr., and Charles III. Listen to the lastest Chuck Berry track below:
