In an interview with Inquirer Entertainment, Courtney Love announced that a Kurt Cobain biopic would be starting “within the next year or so.” Details about the film are scarce at this time, especially since Love is overwhelmed with the process, and turning to her agency for help.

According to Love: “I am letting my agency decide a lot of things because I don’t want to be talking to some hot producer guy, make out with him and then have him go, ‘So, baby, do you own the rights?’ That has happened.” Yikes.

The biopic is definitely green-lighted though, with numerous directors and producers eager to finance the project. Additionally, Love has been overwhelmed with auditions for the leading role, from “25-year-olds who are blond, gorgeous and the new Brad Pitts.” Overwhelmed, Love is letting her agency make the decision, though she will remain involved as well.

Fortunately, the surviving members of Nirvana are involved with the project as well. As Love states: “I do have a say in it. So do Frances, and Krist and Dave (Grohl), for that matter, if it touches on Nirvana—and it will. I am leading the charge because it’s time to do this.”

Meanwhile, Courtney Love appeared on an episode of ‘Sons of Anarchy’ – her first acting role in 11 years – and is currently penning her autobiography.
