Over 150 bands will descend on Alexandria, VA in a few weeks, as the whole town is gearing up for their first ever Live Music Week. With over 35 bars and venues participating, including the elegant Birchmere Theatre, this small town will be transformed into a musical paradise for ten whole days, from July 10-19!
The organizers have lined up tons of local acts ranging from bluegrass to opera, from symphonic to rock and roll, and have recruited Southside Johnny, Toad the Wet Sprocket, and The Bacon Brothers to headline the whole affair. As music director Scott Fallon told us, it’s a real “grass roots music effort and celebration of musical diversity.”
