Gary Clark Jr. Announces New Album, Shares New Song ‘The Healing’

Guitar master Gary Clark Jr. has confirmed plans to release The Story Of Sonny Boy Slim, his follow-up to 2012’s Blak and Blu. On September 11th, Clark Jr. will release the new LP with 13 all-original tracks!

The album also includes vocal contributions from Clark’s two sisters, Shawn and Savannah. In a promotional video, Clark talks about his wide array of stylistic influences, and says the album is about faith. “The underlying tone of this album is faith and hope really at the end of the day. ‘Cause that’s all we need.” Watch that clip below:
