Next weekend, July 30th-July 31st, the one and only NOLA Crawfish King Chris “Shaggy” Davis will celebrate his 45th birthday in style by hosting Shag Fest, a two-day event featuring some of New Orleans’ finest musicians. The event, to be held at d.b.a., will feature a tribute to Jerry Garcia, a funky superjam, and more.
On Saturday, Gravity A and Papa Mali will team up with some very special guests for Gravity Mali Dead, paying respect to Garcia, whose birthday falls two days later on August 1st. Sunday’s lineup features the “Shag Fest Super Jam”, comprised of Eric “Benny” Bloom, Big D Perkins, Eric Vogel, Terrence Higgins, Joe Lawlor, June Yamagishi, and more.
