The Grateful Dead is creating an audio release to celebrate their 50th anniversary, and the band is asking for longtime Deadheads to submit stories and artwork for this one-of-a-kind project. The deadline is the end of this month, 11:59 PM on March 31st, so get sharing!

A statement on the website reads: The Grateful Dead’s rich legacy is a long and enduring one, filled with exploration, innovation, and the greatest fans in the world! Now’s your chance to let the band know just how much they mean to you through YOUR grateful stories and art. Some may be shared with the world in our 50th anniversary audio releases and ALL will be shared with Bob, Phil, Bill, and Mickey. Karmic compensation comes in the form of goodwill. Find out how to participate below.

You can find out more about how to submit your stories and artwork here. Interestingly, this is greatly reminiscent of the video submissions that were collected for the Grateful Dead 50th anniversary documentary, which is slated for a 2015 release. Considering the tight-knit relationship between the band and their fans, the similarity is not surprising.

Between the documentary, the reunion concerts, and now this audio project – it’s going to be a great celebration of all things Dead!
