When the magic of Sunshine Music & Blues Festival was over last night, fans itching for more music headed out to the Funky Biscuit in Boca Raton, FL to catch Devon Allman’s after party. The younger Allman headlined the night, but the band Dookey Shoe opened the show featuring a number of players of the Gregg Allman Band, including guitarist Scott Sharrard, keyboardist Peter Levin, bassist Ron Johnson, and drummers/percussionists Steve Potts and Marc Quinones.

Naturally, the elder and legendary Gregg Allman found his way on the stage, joining in for rousing renditions of “Statesboro Blues” and “Stormy Monday.” Backed by the powerful horn section of Jay Collins, Art Edmaiston and Mark Franklin, the group got down and dirty for some late night groovy blues.
