Former-Yonder Mountain String Band mandolinist Jeff Austin has been touring with a solo band since his departure from Yonder last year. Now, it seems, the Jeff Austin Band is undergoing some personnel changes.

In a statement posted today on Austin’s Facebook, it was revealed that Ryan Cavanaugh will be replacing banjoist Danny Barnes in the band’s lineup. No reason was given for Barnes’ departure, only that “change is a constant.”

Read the statement below. Austin will embark on a tour beginning September 15th, and you can check the full schedule here.

Hello…Goodbye.
**********************
It is with endless excitement that the jAb would like to welcome banjo master Ryan Cavanaugh into the fold. Ryan brings with him a great sense of musical adventure and intense creativity…something we have built our whole world upon. We look forward to many great musical times ahead with him.

We also wish the best to Danny Barnes as he moves forward…continuing to make music that will inspire us all.

See you all out on that big road sooner than later.

The work continues!
