Just two days after Yonder Mountain String Band announced that Jeff Austin would be leaving the band to focus on his solo career, the Jeff Austin Band announced a batch of tour dates that brings his band through the Mid-Atlantic and the Southeast in May and June. They will also be playing a few festival dates. Furthermore, the Jeff Austin Band will also be heading into the studio with an album set to be released in 2015.
Austin was a founding member of Yonder and his departure after 15 years came as quite the shock. He did miss their early 2014 tour due to the birth of his first child.
Austin’s band is comprised of Danny Barnes on banjo, Ross Martin on guitar and Eric Thorin on bass. Full tour dates can be seen below.
