On this day in 1994, Phish stopped in Indianapolis, IN at the famed Murat Theater for a standout show with raging jams, classic phishy shenanigans, and a classic setlist that should leave all modern phans salivating.

The show opened with “The Divided Sky,” after which they played “Wilson” which contained an old-school Simpsons signal (d’oh!). The first set contained a bunch of segues, as the band ran through “It’s Ice” > “Fee” > “All Things Reconsidered,” immediately followed by “The Sloth” > “Paul and Silas” > “Horn” > “Reba.” Next up was “Sweet Adeline,” and the band performed the number in traditional bluegrass style, without the help of microphones.

Set two saw more segue madness, with an epic run of “Halley’s Comet” > “The Curtain” > “McGrupp and the Watchful Hosemasters” > “Simple” -> “Sanity” > “Llama” taking up the majority of the set. Following that segment, the band switched to acoustic instruments, and turned the microphones back off for a pure bluegrass-style set, taking the excited audience through “Dog Faced Boy,” “Poor Heart,” “Cavern,” and “Carolina”.

However, the highlight of the show may have been a ridiculous “Demand” > “Run Like an Antelope” that opened the second set. Phish feels particularly loose here, as they rip through “Demand” and rage into a soaring, light-speed version of “Antelope”
