Soul singing icon Mavis Staples has had a landmark 2015 thusfar, between collaborating with Wilco’s Jeff Tweedy and starring in her own documentary. Now the legendary Staple Singer will put out an EP with brand new music. Titled Your Good Fortune, the four track set will be released on April 21st via Anti-.

The EP contains two originals, written by Son Little for Ms. Staples specifically: “Your Good Fortune” and “Fight.” The other two tracks are covers engrained in the Mavis Staples repertoire, Lemon Jefferson’s “See That My Grave Is Kept Clean” and the gospel standard, “Wish I Had Answered.”
