Phish bassist Mike Gordon is focusing on his solo work in early 2014. With a new album, Overstep, to be released next month, Gordon is taking to the road for an extensive late-winter/early-spring tour that will occupy the bassist’s time between now and the only scheduled Phish performance of 2014, at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival.
Gordon has added four dates to his 2014 solo tour, including stops in Lawrence, KS; Plymouth, NH; Woodstock, NY; and Tarrytown, NY. Tickets for Woodstock are already on sale, through the Radio Woodstock website. Tickets for the other new dates go on sale on Wednesday, January 29th.
Boulder and New York shows are nearly sold out, according to mike-gordon.com. So, if you’re planning to see Gordo at Webster Hall or Boulder Theater, better make some moves.
In describing the tour, Gordon’s website explains that “the band’s new repertoire will be augmented by hints of secret synesthetic mad scientist gadgetry on and around the stage.” Interesting…
