My Morning Jacket is a band at the top of their game, and last night’s performance on Austin City Limits only served to prove that point. The band was unstoppable, playing a set of all originals that included hits from their storied career and a number of selections from their2016 release, The Waterfall.
Frontman Jim James is a regular on the storied ACL program, having performed there twice previously with MMJ and once by himself as well. He was in fine form fronting the band’s challenging rock n’ roll ballads, powering along the live broadcast/performance in style.
