After last week’s tussle over Donald Trump using his song without permission, Neil Young has officially given presidential candidate Bernie Sanders the permission to use “Rockin’ In The Free World”.

In the initial backlash following Trump’s use of the song, Young’s manager released the following short statement: Donald Trump’s use of “Rockin’ in the Free World” was not authorized. Mr. Young is a longtime supporter of Bernie Sanders.

It seems that Young is already showing his support for Sanders. You can watch this clip from a recent campaign speech, in which Sanders enters to Young’s song around the 5:00 minute mark:

While the presidential elections are over a year away, Neil Young is also making his voice heard with his new anti-GMO album, The Monsanto Years. Due out on June 29th, you can stream the whole thing right here until the release date.
