Prog-metal band Tool have been working on their first new album since 2006, and according to frontman Maynard James Keenan, the songwriting process is “progressing nicely.” While nothing has been recorded just yet, fans of the band are eagerly awaiting Tool’s return to form.

Keenan posted the following on Instagram:

Meanwhile, Tool drummer Danny Carey has been keeping himself busy, jamming with Stewart Copeland and Neil Peart and working with Mastodon frontman Brent Hinds on their new supergroup, the Legend of the Seagullmen.
