Several months ago, rock band Weezer teased fans with a 20-second clip of themselves apparently working on something in the studio. More details have accumulated since then, as the band has announced the title of their new album, Everything Will Be Alright In The End, revealed artwork (seen above), and announced a release date of September 30th.

The band also spoke to EW.com about their new album, discussing their work with Ric Ocasek of The Cars, who produced some of their earlier albums. The band released a snippet of a song entitled “Return to Ithaca,” as part of a new series entitled ‘Weezer Wednesdays.’ You can watch below:

Speaking about the style of the album, drummer Pat Wilson said, “if you took the Pinkerton band and then play all the other records—that’s what we sound like now. Bombastic, loose, kind of booming. This record sounds like it’s going to have the tight structure of Blue Album with a little bit more abandon like Pinkerton.“ Good news for fans of the classic Weezer sound.

We’ll be sure to update as more details about this album emerge.
