Broken Bells, the collaboration between Danger Mouse and James Mercer (The Shins), paid homage to The Beatles‘ landmark Ed Sullivan Show performance, which will celebrate its 50th Anniversary on Feb. 9th, by performing on The Late Show with David Letterman at the Ed Sullivan Theater. The duo did a bit of a unique thing, as they brought along an old television set, which played a vintage montage of Ringo Starr playing the drum beats of “I Am The Walrus” as Broken Bells played “And I Love Her.” It was very tastefully done. Check it out for yourselves:

Broken Bells also just released their sophomore album, After The Disco, which can be purchased via iTunes and Amazon. You can read the L4LM review of After the Disco, right here. They will be playing NYC’s Webster Hall on March 7th.
