While over 200 people were arrested during Phish’s New Years Eve run at Madison Square Garden in 2013, one of them is striking back. According to a write-up in the NY Post, fan John Pieralisi was outside MSG when police approached, accusing him of being the lookout for some friends to sell mushrooms. Pieralisi was arrested, but the charges were later dismissed.
Now, the fan is suing the city for $2 million. The court papers were just filed last week, so we’ll be sure to update with more information on this interesting case.
