The WaterWheel Foundation, the charity organization that Phish founded back in 1997, has announced a special pre-show event in San Francisco before the band’s show on July 19th. Joining with promoters Another Planet, the celebration will take place at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium and will support Larkin Street Youth Services, a local non-profit that helps empower homeless and at-risk youth to get off the streets and take control of their own lives by providing them with much needed confidence, skills, opportunities, and most of all, hope.

The WaterWheel Foundation “chooses non-profits from a large sphere of needs including social services, primarily those benefitting women and children; environmental, with a focus on clean water and land conservation with public access; as well as food banks, urban gardening and the like”, which makes Larkin Street Youth Services, who have helped over 75,000 young people, the perfect partner in the San Francisco area. Since its initial inception, WaterWheel’s Touring Division has donated over $1,000,000 to more than 425 groups.

For those looking to attend this event, you must already be a ticket-holder for Phish’s show. The WaterWheel Foundation event ticket includes: complimentary cocktails and a light dinner, a limited Jim Pollock WaterWheel poster (only 350), a WaterWheel Nalgene water bottle, the chance to participate in an auction/raffle for autographed posters and other Phish memorabilia, as well as early entrance into the Phish concert that evening.

Tickets go on sale Thursday, May 26 at Noon PST, and can be found here.
