While we may have been focusing on things like the interactive REEL and a neon bass on tour, Phish bassist Mike Gordon took time out from his concert last night at the Crystal Ballroom in Portland, OR for patriotic purposes. As HeadCount reports, Gordon came out during the set break and helped the organization’s volunteers by registering voters in the lobby of the venue.

HeadCount is a non-profit geared to raising voter awareness at live music events, and certainly the members of Phish have contributed in the past. While that may be true, this is most like the first time that a band member hit the crowd for the cause. Check out some pictures of Gordo’s voter registration below:
