Top-notch tribute bands Pink Talking Fish and The Z3 are teaming up for a night of great music for a great cause. On March 19th, the two bands will hit Toad’s Place in New Haven for a musical tribute event, with proceeds going to Heart of Gold Packages for the Homeless. Presented by Lucius Dylan Prolyte Productions, a group that intertwines musical performances and artistic endeavors, the night is shaping out to be one fantastic event.

It all starts with the Z3, who play funky takes on the music of Frank Zappa. The supergroup is comprised of Beau Sasser, Tim Palmieri from Kung Fu, Bill Carbone of Max Creek, and Ed Mann, a original member of the Frank Zappa Band. The group continues to put their funky spin on Zappa’s classics, making for an awesome show.

Headlining the night is everyone’s favorite Pink Floyd/Talking Heads/Phish hybrid tribute fusion band, Pink Talking Fish. Ever since former Particle bassist Eric Gould founded PTF, the band has been growing in popularity throughout the live music scene. Whether its playing great concept shows, including a Phish and Talking Heads-laden interpretation of Dark Side of the Moon, or just playing monster setlists with staggering segues between the three artists, PTF shows are always nonstop dance parties!
