Seattle’s Polyrhythmics have big plans for the fall ahead of them. On September 22nd, the Afrobeat-fusion nine-piece will release their latest album, Caldera, which may be their most ambitious release to date. Synthesizing Polyrhythmics patented blend of instrumental Afrobeat, funk, soul, psychedelic rock, and progressive jazz, Caldera is already a highly anticipated addition to the group’s ever-growing studio catalog. In promotion of the newest record, earlier in the summer, the group announced an extensive Northeast run in September and headlining performances at Slim’s in San Francisco, Star Theatre in Portland, and a two-night stand at Tractor Tavern in their hometown of Seattle. Today, Polyrhythmics has more good news on the way for fans with the announcement of a West Coast tour this fall.

Polyrhythmics’ West Coast tour kicks off in Winters, California at Berryessa Brewing Company on October 27th. After a quick stop at Railroad Earth’s Hangtown Halloween Ball in Placerville, California on the 29th, the group will celebrate Halloween in Phoenix, Arizona, at Last Exit Live. On November 3rd, Polyrhythmics hits Colorado for a performance at Cervantes’ Masterpiece Ballroom with Dumpstaphunk, followed by a solo performance at Schmiggity’s in Steamboat Springs. After a night in Garden City, Idaho, on November 9th, the band kicks off a string of four Oregon dates in Bend, Ashland (for this show, Polyrhythmics will be joined by Dirty Revival), Eugene, and Portland, across two weekends—November 10th and 11th and November 17th and 18th. The next weekend, the group has their two-night stand at Seattle’s Tractor Tavern scheduled, with the first night on November 24 featuring support by Delvon Lamarr Organ Trio. After a date in Springdale, Utah, on December 1st, Polyrhythmics engages in an all-out sprint across California to close out their tour. From December 2nd through 7th, the band will hit venues in San Diego, San Luis Obispo, Santa Cruz, and Grass Valley. For the final two nights of their newly announced tour dates, the group will perform at Crystal Bay Casino in Nevada on December 8th and Slim’s in San Francisco, California on December 9th.

Tickets for these new shows can be purchased on Polyrhythmics’ website here, and keep your eyes peeled for more dates from the group in the future as they release a second leg of their tour.
