On July 23rd, Primus will bring their exciting live show out to the Philadelphia waterfront, with The Ghost of a Saber Tooth Tiger and Dinosaur Jr. as opening support. These three bands are all playing at the top of their game, with Primus’s extensive touring in support of their recent Primus & The Chocolate Factory release. The band will be taking a break from the Chocolate Factory for this run, and digging deep into some of their classic material.

The night starts with The Ghost of a Saber Tooth Tiger, perhaps best known as the band founded by Beatle offspring Sean Lennon, along with Charlotte Kemp Muhl. The duo has opened for Beck in the past, and the two talented multi-instrumentalists continue to impress as they polish their psychedelic folk sound. Meanwhile, after a long hiatus, Dinosaur Jr. has continued to rock hard for the past decade. The influential alternative band always bring a good time to the stage!

Then, of course, it’s Primus time. The band has built a cult-like following over the past 30+ years, led by the ever-talented Les Claypool on bass. The band’s most recent venture was a Primusified version of the Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory soundtrack, complete with oompa loompas and visuals from the movie. Having toured that extensively, the band will return to their extensive catalog for a fun-filled night of music. Don’t miss out!
