This weekend’s performances from Phil Lesh & Friends were truly special, featuring guitarists Warren Haynes and Eric Krasno, alongside drummer Tony Leone and percussionist Alex Koford for a three nights at The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, NY. With John Medeski on Friday’s keys, Saturday and Sunday welcomed special guest Melvin Seals, longtime keyboardist for the Jerry Garcia Band. The two shows marked the first for Seals with the Phil Lesh & Friends ensemble, and the JGB player was warmly welcomed into the fold.

Of the many special moments from the weekend was the Jerry Garcia classic, “Reuben And Cerise,” which played out immaculately with projections of the late Grateful Dead icon decorating the high walls and ceilings of the legendary theatre.
