Back in February, Radiohead launched an “exploratory, audio-visual” phone app, entitled PolyFauna. The app was initially bundled with music and artwork from the band’s 2011 album The King of Limbs, but a recent update included new music and images. The unfamiliar content is rumored to be a preview of the band’s forthcoming musical project, which they will allegedly begin working on this month.

Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke has tweeted out dozens of images included in the new update. Check some of them out below:

According to Rolling Stone, the app “drops the user into alien worlds that are fully navigable. After exploring each landscape, the user must chase after a warp that will teleport them to yet another strange, colorful terrain. The latest version of PolyFauna is much more fluid than its predecessor, but it still drains the phone battery at an incredible rate.” We haven’t tried it yet, but it certainly seems intriguing.

We’ll be sure to update as news about the new Radiohead album develops.
