Radiohead’s Jonny Greenwood Recovers Stolen Guitar, Twenty Years Later

In 1995, Radiohead was touring the US, with a stop in Denver, when Jonny Greenwood’s Ebony Frost Fender Telecaster Plus was stolen from his gear. During the Bends era of the band, Greenwood played this guitar frequently, so much so that twenty years later, The King Of Gear was able to return it to him.

Apparently someone recognized the guitar and notified The King of Gear, which is a website devoted to Radiohead’s equipment. They told Greenwood about the lost instrument, and he was so grateful that he was able to play it on stage last weekend! Who knows, maybe Radiohead will write a song about it when they get back in the studio next month…
