Live for Live Music is proud to present the ultimate (and closest) Phish Miami afterparty, just 2 blocks from the American Airlines Arena. Roosevelt Collier’s “Jimi Meets Funk” is an excitingly funky take on the music of Jimi Hendrix, with an all-star ensemble that includes Roosevelt Collier, Luther Dickinson (North Mississippi Allstars), Nikki Glaspie (The Nth Power), Nigel Hall (The Nth Power), and Matt Lapham.

Live For Live Music’s last Jimi Hendrix show after Phish‘s Randall’s Island run with Roosevelt Collier, Adam Deitch, Ron Johnson, and Jen Hartswick brought out an audience of musicians like Phish’s own Mike Gordon and Jon Fishman alongside The Disco Biscuit’s Jon “The Barber” Gutwillig, Big Gigantic‘s Jeremey Salkin, and Lettuce’s Jesus Coomes, Adam Smirnoff, Eric Bloom & Ryan Zoidis.

The show will be held post-Phish, on January 3rd, at Will Call Miami. Kicking off at 11:30 PM until who knows when, this will be an after-party celebration for the ages. Limited Advance Tickets are still available for $15!

Pedal steel guitarist Roosevelt Collier has been making a name for himself in the music scene, playing with anyone and everyone. Commonly featured as an artist-at-large, Collier has jammed with The Allman Brothers, Dumpstaphunk, Break Science, Moe., The New Mastersounds, Infamous Stringdusters, JJ Grey & Mofro, Papadosio, Perpetual Groove, Lettuce, Soulive, Lotus, Warren Haynes Band, Gov’t Mule, Greensky Bluegrass… the list goes on and on. Collier’s unique sound and charismatic musical energy makes him an extremely versatile musician.

This all-star lineup features some of the most notable funk artists on the scene today. Luther Dickinson’s guitar mastery has seen stints with bands as legendary as The Black Crowes, North Mississippi Allstars and many more, even earning him some Grammy nods. Adam Deitch from Lettuce and Break Science will be playing drums. Nigel Hall is no stranger to the scene, lending his powerful pipes as a member of The Nth Power as well as a frequent guest with Lettuce, Jon Cleary and all over NOLA and beyond.
