The Smashing Pumpkins have announced two new albums, ‘Monuments To An Elegy’ and ‘Day For Night’ due out in 2015.

The announcement came Tuesday via the band’s new website, dubbed “The Panopticon,” where they elaborated on the sound of their new work:

“For those interested in sound, think: ‘guitars, guitars, guitars, and more guitars;’ but more so on the epic side of things than say, grossly metallic.”

According to the band, songs have already been written and they’ll begin recording immediately with a single expected to be released by the end of the year.

The Smashing Pumpkins will chronicle the recording process of the new albums—which will be produced by Howard Willing—on their new website. Along the way, they promise a “bird’s eye view” of the recording process including song titles, lyrics, poetic impressions, pictures, sound clips and more.
