Alan Evans, the illustrious Soulive drummer, has announced that he will be rejoining Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe, playing with Denson’s band for the first time since 1998. Evans announced the news through Facebook, read his statement below:
That’s right people, I’m going to be playing with Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe again!! I’m getting ready to head out for rehearsals and my first shows back with the KDTU since 1998. It’s was a big surprise and an honor to get the call from my good friend Karl asking if I would join KDTU once again. Things are going to be really busy for me but I’m psyched I’ll see you all out in the world with Soulive and Karl.

Soulive just wrapped up their eight-night Bowlive run last weekend, and the band’s guitarist, Eric Krasno, will be performing at the upcoming FUNK ‘N’ BOWL show on April 14th.
We’re certainly excited for Evans to reclaim his drum set with Karl Denson, as the two are both masters of the jazz/funk world. Lots of great music in store!
