This is one show you will not want to miss. Dave Grohl’s Sound City Players, a band made up of members of Foo Fighters, Nirvana, and a plethora of other rock and roll superstars, Dave Grohl put this band together to perform the soundtrack from his recent documentary, Sound City. The band also includes Stevie Nicks, John Fogerty, Rick Springfield, Lee Ving of Fear, Rick Nielson of Cheap Trick, Brad Wilk of Rage Against The Machine, and more. The Sound City soundtrack featured additional guests like Paul McCartney, Trent Reznor, and Corey Taylor. The event takes place at Hammerstein Ballroom on February 13th.

So far, the Sound City Players have only performed at the movie’s Sundance debut in Utah, and in LA at the Hollywood Premiere of the film. This will be the first and ONLY time this group of musicians gather to play this songs in New York City. This is also a rare chance to see the three surviving members of Nirvana – Grohl, Krist Novoselic, and Pat Smear – on stage together. They debuted their song with Paul McCartney at the 12.12.12 Hurricane Sandy Benefit, and followed it up with a performance on Saturday Night Live.
