Taylor Swift seems like she means well, but she should just give up on holding contests at this point. KISS FM, paired with Taylor Swift, was running a contest to see who Taylor’s “biggest fan” was, but has since been forced to cancel it at the hand of the internet.
Disappointingly, we have determined that the integrity of the “Taylor Swift’s Biggest Fan” contest has been compromised. In accordance with our contest rules, effective immediately, the contest has been terminated. We apologize to all of our loyal listeners who have participated.
The reason the contest was cancelled? 4Chan once again. If this sounds all too familiar, that’s because it is. Not too long ago 4Chan and Reddit were responsible for the trolling of another Taylor Swift contest, that time when they voted Horace Mann School for the Deaf as the recipients for a private performance by the singer; read the entire article here.
Now this contest has been cancelled due to an upvoted #1 fan being a 39 year old “creey” man, Charles. A supposed friend of the man went to 4chan to ask for help to “crush the dreams of these girls and give him a chance to make a complete ass of himself by blatantly just sniffing her hair with cameras rolling,” a plea which seemed to work all too well after gathering Reddit support.
