Last weekend, stars gathered in Los Angeles’ Hollywood Bowl to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the legendary TV cartoon family, The Simpsons. The celebration, dubbed “The Simpsons Take The Bowl,” was hosted by Simpsons voice actors Hank Azaria, Yeardley Smith, and Nancy Cartwright, and featured an incredible array of guest appearances.

There was certainly an emphasis on music at the festivities, which included live Simpsons orchestration from the Hollywood Orchestra. “Weird” Al Yankovic was there in full force, reviving his Simpsons-themed parody of John Mellencamp’s “Jack and Diane,” in which he sings, “Oh yeah, ‘The Simpsons’ will go on, long after the human race is gone… a little ditty about Homer and Marge.”

The showcase included former-Simpsons writer Conan O’Brien leading the orchestra through a live rendition of the famous “The Monorail Song” from Marge vs. The Monorail.

It also included The Gay Men’s Chorus singing “Spider Pig,” a tune featured in The Simpsons Movie, and “We Do,” the Stonecutters anthem from Homer The Great.

And last but not least, the celebration included an appearance from comedian Jon Lovitz, who sang “Stop The Planet Of The Apes, I Want To Get Off!” from A Fish Called Selma, originally sung by the great Troy McClure.

All in all, this concert event seems like an incredibly fun way to celebrate the 25th anniversary of America’s favorite cartoon family, The Simpsons.
