Despite the various reports circulating, The Brooklyn Bowl is (most likely) free of the Ebola virus. As the story goes, a doctor, who was treating victims in Guinea, returned to New York and cabbed over to a bowling alley-music venue. Later, the man contracted Ebola-like symptoms and was rushed to the hospital. The full story about Dr. Spencer can be read in the NY Times.

The venue in question is actually called The Gutter, a nearby bowling alley-music venue, similar to the Brooklyn Bowl. The venue cancelled its scheduled CMJ Show last night, due to “unforseen circumstances.”

Meanwhile, the Brooklyn Bowl said that they had no further information, and had not been contacted by authorities.
