Grateful Dead frontman Jerry Garcia is the latest subject of a comic book tribute biography series produced by Bluewater Productions.

The comic was written by Michael Frizell, with interior artwork provided by Andre St-Amour and cover art by David Frizell.

The author said in a press release,

“Does anyone epitomize the age of freedom – or the age of excess – better than Garcia? His story is every writer’s dream. Drugs. Rock culture. Conflict. Social turmoil. Unparalleled talent. Humble and rebellious beginnings. Mix them together and you create the portrait of Jerry Garcia.”

St-Amour said,

“Jerry Garcia, his life and music career, can almost be described as a sort of history of the Baby-Boomer generation. From the early post-war years to the adoption of rebellious Rock’n’Roll mind-set, to the Make Love not War movement of the ’60s, to the drugs and psychedelia of the early ’70s, to the excesses of the ’80s, and beyond. Jerry Garcia was there through it all.”

Tribute: Jerry Garcia is available in print or for download through iTunes, Kindle, Google Play or wherever eBooks are sold.
