Searching for your music soulmate? There’s an app for that.

Tastebuds.fm is a new dating app based out of London that finds potential matches based on musical preferences. The app scans users’ Spotify and Last.fm accounts for users’ most-played tunes and other listening preferences, then determines matches based on a variety of music-related criteria.

According to the app’s founder, Julian Keenaghan, monitoring users’ preferences has revealed certain interesting musical trends related to relationships. For instance, the biggest turn-off on a music profile is (unsurprisingly) Nickelback, while fans of Adele find the most luck in love. Indie rock such as the Black Keys and Nirvana, as well as more classic rock like the Doors and Pink Floyd, are cited as widely matched genres.

Users can also share what they’re listening to, and answer questions such as “What concerts have you been to lately?” or “What’s your favorite record?”.

In a digital dating age of swiping left and right based on superficial preferences, this could be revolutionary for music lovers.
