We reported yesterday that Thom Yorke and longtime Radiohead producer Nigel Godrich (and member of Atoms for Peace) shared an image of a ghostly, unnamed white record via tumblr. As many have speculated, with Radiohead recently confirming they are working on their ninth studio LP, that this could have been new music from the group. Well, today, Yorke tweeted pictures of lyrics from Radiohead’s Hail to the Thief track “A Wolf at the Door,” and went on to write, “Stanley [Donwood] & me going thru 15 years of discarded words & pictures..! while overdubs happen in Radiohead studio. 2nd day only.” While it is anybody’s guess what this actually means, there are several possibilities:

1) Yorke could be working on a compilation album of remixes and old Radiohead tracks (i.e. the lyrics, and Stanley Donwood artwork)

2) It is possible that Yorke could be releasing a solo album, as Donwood’s art was used in The Eraser artwork.

3) The arwork also resembles Donwood’s images for the Atoms for Peace album, AMOK. Could it work for the supergroups next project?

4) Maybe Yorke is just reminiscing while going through “15 years of discarded words & pictures,” and everyone is taking all of this way too seriously.

5) Hopefully, we will just be getting a good old Radiohead album soon.
