With a string of deaths and arrests marring the latest installment of the Ultra Music Festival in Miami, many sought to have the festival leave the city.  But after a 4-1 vote by the Miami city commissioners, the festival will go on as planned in 2015.  The dates are set for next year’s event as it will return to Miami’s Bayfront Park on March 27-29.

This announcement comes less than a month after Miami Commissioner Marc Sarnoff compiled a video of the worst of Ultra in order to gather support behind not bringing the festival back.  With that being said, there was a contract signed to bring the festival back to Bayfront Park for four more years.  Beyond that, the economic impact of the festival is enormous for the city as 2012’s edition raked in $79 million for the city.  Another factor in favor of bringing the festival back was the petition signed by nearly 50,000 people on Change.org.
