Vulfpeck is full of surprises. A constant source of video, humor, and top-notch tutorials, the band has enough content from their tourless five years together to keep every fan on their toes (thanks to the band-everything, Jack Stratton). So when the new music video for “El Chepe” surfaced last night at around 2AM ET, fans were excited to get another glimpse into the recording session of A Beautiful Game. Unlike past iPhone-quality releases, the video was shot with a professional camera, perhaps because special guests Rich Hinman (predal steel) and Adam Levy (guitar) are featured. While remaining true to the Vulf, this track stands out on the record for its simplistic grittiness. It is also a great showcase for the honky tonk stylings of Woody Goss.
