Frank Zappa was certainly not known for having a filter. The outspoken musician/activist often made public appearances and thoroughly enjoyed ruffling some feathers. In 1986, Zappa appeared on CNN’s “Crossfire”, where he was pitted against right-wing Washington Times columnist John Lofton. The heated debate revolves around government’s censorship of “offensive” and even “pornographic” song lyrics. Zappa completely dominates the conversation with strong and well-articulated arguments.
