Widespread Panic guitarist Jimmy Herring made an appearance at the Georgia Theatre last night, sitting in with the Gregg Allman Band on the second night of their two-night stint at the Atlanta, GA venue. Herring added his soulful guitar sound to the Willie Cobbs blues classic, “You Don’t Love Me,” a staple of the Allman Brothers/Gregg Allman repertoire.

Gregg Allman is currently touring with a solo band, which includes Scott Sharrard on guitar, Peter Levin on keys, Steve Potts on drums, Marc Quinones of percussion (formerly of ABB), Ron Johnson on bass, and horn players Jay Collins, Art Edmaiston and Marc Franklin. The group will travel to Allman’s hometown, Macon, GA, for two nights at the Grand Opera House on January 9th and 10th.
